Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP)

Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) is a feature that provisions the device over cellular and seamlessly provisions your device to Ctrl.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure your F1 Starter Kit has the provided SIM card inserted.
  • USB-A to USB-C cable for power supply and data exchange with PC host.

Power up your F1 Starter Kit connection

The F1 Starter Kit is programmed to establish LTE network registration and connects to Ctrl platform when powered up for the first time, now we will walk through this by the follow steps:

  • Connect your F1 Starter Kit Top USB-C port to your computer via USB, green [PWR] LED lights up.

  • Switch On the system by sliding SW200 from OFF to ON.

  • [VDD] and [3.3V] LED will light up.

  • F1 Starter Kit will start to run and the RGB LED will blink blue to indicate that it’s waiting for LTE network.

  • Upon network registration, the device will connect to Ctrl platform and provision itself. The RGB LED will go to solid green when everything is ready. If your device keeps blinking blue, please move to another location with better LTE network reception.

  • If you see RGB LED goes to solid red, that means something went wrong and please check if the SIM card is fully inserted.
